Event Organized by VA Department of Conservation & Recreation, Division of Stormwater Management

The Virginia Department of Conservation & Recreation is offering a series of 6-hour training sessions statewide to educate local government staff and other stakeholders about the history and implementation of VA’s SWM Law & Regulations and the 2012 Integration Bill. Attendees will learn the basics of stormwater management, the history of stormwater regulations in VA, design and implementation tools for managing stormwater on developed sites, tips for implementing the regulations and overseeing regulated land disturbing activities, and the future of VA's stormwater program. This training will be from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and will be worth 6 hours of continuing education credits. Attendees will receive class materials on a CD-rom and will be awarded Certificates of Attendance.
